Fantasma Girl

Hey, you out there!—thanks for peeking in. I’m a sassy little phantom, apparently cursed to shoot creepy baddies forever.

Wait, you can help me, right?!

In this  PICO-8 2D arcade shooter you’ll guide me around a 256×256 arena (I’m not sure who built it, but it’s kind of cozy?), splatter foes, and hoard their ghostly souls—there’s only room for one ghost in here, after all.

 Absorbing enough makes me zip around and fire way faster, but remember, speed is a double-edged sword: if I touch another enemy, I’m toast! One wrong move and … and we loop right back here. 

Struggling? Scoop up those ghostly goodies and upgrade me. A little ectoplasm goes a long way—turns me into one wickedly strong  phantom

Filling my gooey-stuff bar unleashes me for a moment, letting me zip around and shoot like crazy—but speed is a double-edged sword: if I so much as graze another enemy, I’m toast. One slip-up, and we loop right back here!

New Ghostly Upgrades

“But hold onto your ectoplasm—there’s more! Every ghostly wisp I collect can be harnessed to further boost my stats. It’s not just about speed and shooting anymore; now I can keep upgrading and become an even bigger menace to these creeps! The more ghosts I bag, the stronger I get—until I’m practically unstoppable… or until I crash into something and lose it all. Oops.”

Rare Chests

“Don’t get too comfy, though—enemies may very rarely drop a mysterious chest. Rumor has it, there’s a chance it could hold the key to my escape! Sure, the odds are slim, but hey, it’s worth a shot, right?”

Controls

• Move: Arrow Keys or D-Pad to float.
• Shoot: Z = fire forward, X = fire backward. Press both to move in one direction while shooting in another.
